Contingency Planner, Complete Kit
Most families have talked about it for years. This is what "done" looks like.
"WE WERE READY for a week of ICE. We have horses, chickens, and a water well along with a barn and outbuildings. It's very easy to forget something but we worked our plan."
Hank, ReadyPlan user · January 2026 Texas ice storm
How it works
ReadyPlan walks your family through building a real emergency plan: evacuation routes, communication protocols, emergency contacts, and contingency options for the scenarios that apply to where you live. Every family member gets the shared plan on their own device. It syncs locally, so it's readable offline when cell service is gone.
The Complete Kit is the paper record. A fabric binder pre-loaded with the base planner and all four expansion sections. Fill it in alongside the app. Put it on the shelf at home or in a go-bag. It doesn't need a signal or a battery.
Between the two, the plan exists in multiple places: on everyone's phones, in writing on the shelf, and in your family's memory because you built it together.
Most families have thought about this. Very few have actually done it. The ones who have are glad they did before they needed it.

Google PlayCommon questions
Once you sign in and build your plan, everything syncs locally to your device. ReadyPlan is fully accessible offline. That was a design requirement from the start. The scenario where your family needs the plan is exactly the scenario where infrastructure is most likely to be unreliable.
One payment, permanent access. No annual renewal, no subscription to cancel. You'll receive a redemption code via email upon purchase. Enter it in the ReadyPlan app on iOS, Android, or the web and your account is upgraded permanently. Family Plan orders include four separate codes, one per person.
The guided onboarding takes most people 15 to 20 minutes to complete a working first draft. ReadyPlan uses AI to generate a starting point based on your location, household size, and the risks that apply to your area. You review it, fill in the specifics, and share it with your family. The planner then gives you a permanent written record to fill in alongside it.
Each family member gets access to the shared plan through their own account on their own device. With the Family Plan, each person also has their own physical planner. The plan doesn't live in one place that only you can find. The physical binder in particular is something you can sit down and fill in together as a family, which tends to get everyone more bought in than an app they haven't touched.
A notebook doesn't know what hazards are specific to your zip code, doesn't walk you through what you might have missed, and can't be shared with every family member's phone in one step. The Complete Kit gives you a structured format that covers the planning areas most households overlook: evacuation routes, communication fallbacks, role assignments, and contingency options. The structure is what makes the difference between a plan that works and a pile of notes.
Either one works on its own. They're designed to work better together. The app is where you iterate. It walks you through the plan, suggests what you might have missed, and syncs updates to every family member's phone. The planner is where you store. It's the durable, written copy that sits on the shelf and works without a charger, a signal, or a login. Most households end up using both: build and refine in the app, transcribe the final version into the planner so it survives anything.
Anything where your family needs to act on a plan you made earlier. Hurricanes, wildfires, ice storms, extended power outages, evacuations, shelter-in-place orders, medical emergencies, a parent traveling when something happens at home. The structure covers the planning areas most households overlook regardless of the specific hazard: communication fallbacks when phones are down, where to meet if home isn't safe, who picks up the kids if you can't, what supplies you actually need on hand. The plan is hazard-agnostic by design.
Yes. ReadyPlan is designed to be a living document. You can update any section at any time and the changes sync to every family member's device. The physical planner uses pencil for the same reason. Plans change, and a plan you can update is more valuable than one you can't.
Your plan lives in Firebase and Firestore (Google's encrypted cloud infrastructure) and on each family member's device. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and only the family members you invite to your plan can see it. The local copy on your device is what makes the app work offline. The cloud copy is what keeps every family member's phone in sync when you make a change.
Orders ship within 2 to 3 business days. We ship to the US, Canada, and Europe. ReadyPlan lifetime codes are delivered via email and arrive within 24 hours of your order being placed, regardless of physical shipping timeline. If you have questions about your order, contact us at info@madgear.shop.
The Family Plan is limited to one per customer. To cover a fifth person, add a Complete Kit alongside your Family Plan order. For larger households, add additional Complete Kits as needed. If you're outfitting an organization, team, or reseller, we offer wholesale pricing. Reach out to info@madgear.shop and we'll work something out.
Build your first plan with your family within 30 days of purchase. If you do the work and still don't think it was worth it, contact us at info@madgear.shop for a full refund. Unredeemed ReadyPlan Lifetime codes can be deactivated and returned for refund. The condition exists because people who actually sit down and build the plan don't ask for refunds. The work itself is what makes it valuable.
