Who built this
Built by someone whose job depended on the plan working.
Sam Amyett spent his Navy career aboard the E-6B Mercury, the aircraft built to take over command when ground-based communications have been lost. As a Mission Commander, he led the crew on deployment and built the tactical plan. As his squadron’s Mission Commander Evaluator, he trained and qualified the people who flew the mission, including the next generation of Mission Commanders. He spent years in a job where the plan working was the only acceptable outcome.
He left the Navy in 2025 and built the Contingency Planner on the same principle he worked under. A plan has to exist before the emergency, it has to live somewhere your family can find it without you, and it has to work in a format that holds up when nothing else does.

How it works
Two parts. One plan.
The app is where you build the plan, and it works offline once it’s on your phone.
The Contingency Planner is one planning system in two forms. ReadyPlan, the app, is where you build the plan. It walks your family through the evacuation routes, the communication steps, the contacts, and the condition plans for where you live. The drafts are AI-assisted, so you’re never staring at a blank page. Everyone in the family gets the same plan on their own device, and it syncs to each phone so it’s readable offline when the power or the signal is gone.
The kit is the paper copy that needs no charge and no signal.
The kit is the written record. A fabric binder, pre-loaded with the base planner and all four expansion sections, on stone paper that’s waterproof and tear-resistant. You fill it in alongside the app and keep it on the shelf at home or in a go-bag, where it works without a charge or a signal.
